| Brief Description of Assignment |

Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh (CAAB) functions as the regulatory body for all aviation related activities in Bangladesh. It is also the aeronautical service provider and is responsible for safe, expeditious and efficient flow of air traffic within the flight information Region (FIR) bounded by the international geographic boundary of Bangladesh. There are 8 (eight) operating Airports in the country and Shah Amanat International Airport is one of them. Shah Amanat International Airport is the second largest international airport in Bangladesh situated in the southeastern port city of Chittagong. The airport is located in the Patenga area of the city, 20 kilometers (13 mile, 11 NM) west from the city's main commercial hub, GEC Circle and 18.5 km south of the city's railway station on the north bank of the Karnaphuli River. Operated and maintained by the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh. Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh intends to engage a reputed international Consulting firm to conduct detailed feasibility study, prepare new master plan for a period of next 50 years, prepare detailed design drawing etc. of the infrastructures required to handle the future air traffic of the said airport as well as to carry out the Engineering services as described in EOI application form. In order to prepare a short list of consulting firm interested reputable international consulting firms are invited to provide information in sealed envelope indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar operating conditions, availability of appropriate professional qualification and experience among technical staff etc.) |
| Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |

i. Reputed international consulting Firms having 15(Fifteen) years’ experience in consultancy services. International consulting firms are encouraged to seek participation and obtain full range of expertise by associating with local consulting firm(s) or entities in a joint venture or sub-consultancy, as appropriate.
ii. The international Consulting firm should have experience in successful completion of consultancy services for Engineering Design and supervision of Passenger Terminal Building, Import & Export Cargo Terminal Building with necessary facilities, Taxiway, Runway, Apron with installation of new Boarding Bridges, Automated modern operation facilities for Cargo Terminal Building, Intake Power Plant with distribution system, design of Airfield Ground Lighting System & other Electro-Mechanical works, Drainage works, Land Acquisition & utilization plan for future development, Installation of all sorts of Electro-Mechanical & communication equipment etc. works in a single contract of at least one project costing (Construction Cost) minimum US$ 250.00 (Two hundred and fifty) million during last 10 (ten) years.
iii. International Consulting Firm(s) as mentioned in (ii) above may form joint venture/association/consortium with a local firm. In that case, the local associate should have experience in successful completion of consultancy services for Engineering Design and supervision work of Pavement, Commercial/High rise building, Central Air-Conditioning and Electro-Mechanical Project costing Bangladesh Taka 2000 (Two thousand) million (construction cost) in any Govt./Semi-govt./Autonomous organization in a single contract during the last 10 (ten) years.
iv. No. of firms in a JVCA including a local associate (if any) shall not be more than 3 (Three). |
